By requiring you to add a teaspoon of honey and a few drops of fresh organic lemon juice means your face reaps the immediacy and benefits of the resultant chemical reaction. A much deeper cleanse without any dryness! It's an extra step but one well worth taking. The results speak for themselves. Ok, a word about the importance of Honey! Honey is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent and for thousands of years used to treat wounds through inhibition of growth in a range of bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses. But not all honeys are equal. We recommend and use Leptospermum honeys such as Manuka (New Zealand) or Jellybush (Australia), but honey type is only the beginning. Both types come with grades: higher grades = greater potency. For most users of Organic Mask low grades (5+) will serve well. But here's the beauty of it - should your skin be problematic, consider using 20+. 

How to use:

• Use once or twice a week, after Step 1: Facial Scrub. o Mix one teaspoon of Organic Mask with a teaspoon of Manuka honey (available at any good supermarket. we prefer Manuka’s significant antibacterial qualities, but any raw honey will suffice) o use non-metal bowl & utensils to mix o Add a few drops of Organic Lemon juice, sufficient to form a thin paste (maybe as few as 2-3 drops—a lemon drop can be a very inaccurate measurement—just enough so the powder converts to thin paste) o Immediately apply to face and neck in a circular motion, avoiding eyes (can’t overemphasize immediate - you’ve just started a chemical reaction and we want it happening on your face, not in the bowl. You’ll be amazed at the difference!) o Leave on 10-15 minutes or (better still) until hardened. (Note: the turmeric in Organic Mask will stain so use a washcloth dedicated to masking) o Wash off with washcloth soaked in hot water (really hot water helps to steam mask off without having to rub), or shower. o Pat skin dry and enjoy your new smooth, glowing skin! o Proceed to Steps 3 & 4: apply Eye +Tamanu and Face +Tamanu 

What to expect:

• Sandalwood lightens the skin, while turmeric creates a glow, and bentonite clay cleans the pores. For best results use non-metal spoon/bowl to mix paste. Bentonite clay is volcanic. Sunburn? Mask is perfect to help ease the symptoms. Baste the affected areas, leave until dry.
