How did Ring of Color come to be?

I founded Ring of Color with a deep passion for makeup and a personal journey that inspired me to empower others through beauty. Growing up as an introvert, I often struggled with self-esteem and confidence. However, makeup became my transformative tool, helping me discover and celebrate my unique identity.

My journey with makeup taught me that it's not just about enhancing physical beauty; it's about the confidence and self-expression it brings. It became a form of art and a means to connect with my inner self, enabling me to navigate the world with greater self-assuredness.

This realization ignited a desire to share this transformative power of makeup with others, especially those who, like me, might be introverts seeking to boost their self-confidence. I wanted to create a brand that goes beyond products, one that fosters a sense of community and celebrates diversity.

How important is being cruelty free/clean to Ring of Color?

Being cruelty-free is of utmost importance to Ring of Color. It's not just a choice; it's a fundamental value that we uphold and integrate into every aspect of our brand.

What inspired the brand name Ring of Color?

The brand name "Ring of Color" was inspired by a deep appreciation for the diversity of human beauty and a desire to celebrate the uniqueness of every individual. We chose this name as a reminder that beauty knows no bounds and that our unique qualities should be celebrated. Is an ode to diversity, self-expression, and the power of individuality. It reflects our core belief that makeup is not about masking one's identity but enhancing and celebrating it.

 

What sets your brand apart from the rest?

Ring of Color isn't just about makeup; it's a celebration of the beauty that resides within each of us, the bonds that connect us, and the radiant diversity that enriches our lives. We are here to provide products that help individuals enhance their natural beauty, and in doing so, promote self-expression and confidence that transcends mere appearance. We invite everyone to join our community, celebrate their unique beauty, and connect with others who share our vision of a more inclusive and colorful world.

 

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?

My biggest accomplishment to date would be having had the opportunity of being featured on Univision’s Despierta America. Having been invited to share about myself and about Ring of Color to the biggest Latin Network of the United States was truly a surreal moment because I grew up watching that show. I had the opportunity to bring my mom with me to meet the cast that she watches every morning. They were all so lovely and supportive. It was a very emotional moment for me because it was a reminder that hard work pays off. 

 

What are some challenges you’ve had to overcome with Ring of Color?

Sometimes things don’t go according to plan and at times we have to come up with creative solutions as a self-funded brand. This brand has been a passion of mine but it has also thought me lessons and one of them is to keep going.

 

What is your go-to Ring of Color product?

One of our products that has become my go to day and night has been our Glossy Lip Oil in the shade of Love. I can’t live without it because it is just so hydrating.

 

Besides Ring of Color, what are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about helping others and elevating them. I like reminding people that they are unique and perfect just how they are, which is what Ring of Color is all about.

 

Run us through your morning routine!

The first thing I do in the morning is head over to brush my teeth and do my morning skincare routine. I have dry skin type so it is very important for me to be consistent with my skincare and I never forget to care for my lips when I do so. I’m so in love with our glossy lip oils so I love applying either the shade “love” or “kind” in the morning to keep my lips hydrated throughout the day. Afterwards, I sit down with a cup of hot cocoa to go over my calendar, check my email and practice gratitude for the day by reciting out loud to myself the things that I am grateful for.

 

What do you envision for the future of Ring of Color?

I envision Ring of Color collaborating with other brands to create community and working towards being in shelves one day.

 

What is the most important thing you would like Ring of Color to be recognized for?

I want beauty enthusiasts to know our brand, Ring of Color, as more than just a beauty company; I want them to recognize us as a brand that empowers individuals, particularly introverts, to feel more confident and beautiful through the power of color. We are here to boost self-esteem and inspire self-expression. Our brand isn't just about selling products; it's about creating a community where individuals can connect, share their beauty journeys, and find a sense of belonging. I also would like for our brand to be recognized as committed to providing high-quality beauty products crafted with care. Above all, I want our audience to understand that we are a mission-driven brand. Our purpose is to make people feel the way our I felt when makeup transformed her life—more confident, empowered, and beautiful.
